Ian Banks is a Chartered Architect with the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA) and is registered with Architects Registration Board (ARB). He is also an appointed Fellow of the RSA, and currently one of only 250 nationally appointed Built Environment Experts for Design Council Cabe.

The RIBA champions better buildings, communities and the environment through architecture and it's members. The RIBA stress the following key advantages:

"When you appoint an RIBA Chartered architect you are employing someone who has undertaken seven years of training - no other building professional is trained in design and construction to such a level of expertise. An architect will help you achieve your aspirations and vision, and add value to your project through good design and sound construction management. An architect may well be the best investment you ever make".

For more information from the RIBA on architects working on domestic projects, please download the PDF of their booklet
